Here's a different kind of island hopping! For our last full day in Mindoro, we experienced the longest island-to-island zip-line in Asia. I've crossed a lot of zip-lines before, from usual harness to bike type, but this was my first time to zip-line with a view of the beach (usual view is that of mountains).
Will you go for it too?

It covers a total cable length of 1.7km, and the first inter-island zipline with back-and-forth motorized pulleys (it can also pull you back to the jump-off point).

Up we go! No turning back, hehehe |
|
Then we went for a ride one-by-one, weeeee! |
|
Was able to document Ruthie's turn, too! |
The experience was actually fun and (for lack of better word) chill! The view is very nice and relaxing, as mentioned earlier, we passed by the beach which was very refreshing and breezy. The whole ride lasted around 4 minutes. And, for your skin's sake, make sure to apply your sunblock! 😜
The speed was just right, enough to take pictures with my camera phone. For safety purposes though, I made sure to have my phone inside a protector case with string attached to my wrist. Ruth and I also wore sandals with no back straps, so we decided to place them inside our bags just to be sure we won't regret heading home without slippers.
And in no time, we were already at the Pandan Pequeño Island. We took a boat to the Pandan Island Beach Resort where we had our lunch.

Thankful for the perfect beach and zip-line weather! |

In between eating and our chit-chats, hehehe |

Final group pic on our last stop! |

Ever heard of a crystal boat? This was very innovative of our boatsmen as we were able to entertain ourselves by spotting fishies on our way back |
Flight back to Manila
Our adventurous Mindoro trip ended the next day, we had no other activities except to prepare for the airport. The San Jose Airport of Occidental Mindoro turned out to be just a stone throw away from our accommodation at Season's Hotel. Barely 10-minute van ride and we're already hurrying out for our check-in.
|
Small airport, but a convenient mode to those who are planning to travel to Mindoro soon |
|
We traveled via Cebu Pacific, flight took about an hour only, more or less |
And that's it for our 5 days in Mindoro! There really is more to this island other than Puerto Galera, hope you can visit and tell your stories too! Thankful for the new experiences, new memories with old friends, and of course the new friends met along the way. ♥
Special thanks to DOT-MIMAROPA and Oriental Mindoro Tourism for taking care of us!
