Overnight in Busan: Magnate (Cafe of BTS Jimin's Dad) + Gamcheon Culture Village

After our blogger trip in Busan, Paxie and I stayed in the city for one more night to fulfill some unfinished business when we were there during BTS Week.

We stayed in a hotel located just a stone throw away from the Busan Station. I booked it on-the-spot, a few hours before our check-in, and it didn't cost us so much for a decent room rented the last minute.

Busan has always been sunny and bright, even during my past visits ❤

Busan Boys: Jimin and Jungkook!

Overnight at Busan View Hotel, just a few blocks away from the Busan Station

We stayed at the hotel for only a few hours, and checked-out nadin the next day. As for our things, we carried them with us to Busan Station. Like most main transportation hubs in Korea, Busan Station has coin lockers in different sizes that we rented out and shared. Then we grabbed lunch at one of the restos in the train station before proceeding with the day's agendas.

I really liked this part of our trip coz we only had two missions left: Magnate, which is the coffee shop of BTS Jimin's dad, and the Gamcheon Culture Village. It was chill, it was very pang "fan girl", and of course I was able to share it with a friend.

Our spacious room with king-sized bed, and lots of desk and floor spaces

Separate areas for the sink, toilet, and bath area

There's a separate shower area that I wasn't able to take a pic na, but everything's neat and clean

MAGNATE CAFE

It would have been nice if we visited Magnate during Jimin Day (initial plan), but thanks to the internet we found out early October 13 that it was already impossible to enter the cafe unless we lined up before they opened the gates.

Since it was also the BTS Busan concert week, tourists flocked the cafe--some even with luggages in tow. Food were already flying out of their menu midday. Jimin's dad also gave away cute baby JM freebies which I wished I was able to snag, but honestly our quiet time in the cafe a week late from Jimin Day was also nice.

We knew we were near the cafe when we saw these Jimin ads!

You can also pick-up some breads and pastries from this table before paying at the counter

The long table with gifts from ARMYs who visited the past weeks was still there. It greeted us the moment we opened the heavy metal door to the cafe.

We were also able to see the beautiful Jimin art portraits that were displayed at the Louvre. People at the time that we visited were mostly office workers, it was easy to take some photos as everyone's just busy minding their own business.

And the best part, we saw Jimin's dad manning the counter in his suit! :)

Industrial chic. Magnate is also for the non-ARMYs

Pastries and coffee were good, but a bit on the pricier side

Jimin Breadcrumbs: A shelf with some of his hats collection, and one of the artworks displayed at the Louvre Museum

We took our time and ate our pastries in peace, then took pictures in some notable corners of the cafe, including the shelf with Jimin's hats collection. Aside from the BTS breadcrumbs, the cafe is also pretty with artworks displayed in strategic areas. The food and drinks I ordered were good, too!

GAMCHEON CULTURE VILLAGE

Next, we went to a popular Busan tourist spot. I've already been to the Gamcheon Culture Village back in 2018, but aside from I wasn't an ARMY yet, the Jimin-Jungkook mural was also not yet created at that time.

During the BTS Week, we heard that there was a line just to take pictures with the JiKook wall. But when Paxie and I visited a week later, we were the only ones there! We were able to take our sweet time.

We also walked around to see the rest of the village. Spotted the Little Prince, another popular mural of the village, plus the view of the houses from different angles. This time, I was with someone who took my photos wherever, hehehe. Not much has changed in this little artsy village. During my first visit, I had the best sunset view I've ever had. But for my second time, I was greeted with beautiful lanterns that lit up the night sky. Oh, and I was able to avoid the walkathons too and split the taxi fare with my friend hehehe.

Lanterns filled the Gamcheon night sky with lights

After that, we felt that it was really time to say good bye to Busan. :)

We bought tickets on-the-spot at the Busan Station, and took the night train back to Seoul.

Bittersweet view. Left Busan for the final part of this one month trip

Train FROM Busan, hehe.
