2022 Recap

No expectations, but thank you 2022 for the adventures!

From covering Kpop concerts and actor fan meetings, to solo trips here and abroad, I finally felt that I can still pick up what I've lost from the pandemic. I said I don't have energy to write a year-ender, but I saw my long-time blog friend Ava posted hers which really inspired me to just go for it.

Here are my personal highlights from the year that was, the good and the bad.

JANUARY

My whole household got the virus during the surge season, and in perfect timing, I got infected during my birthday.

FEBRUARY

The whole country treated February as the "real January". Let's try this again! Feb was the start of my solo adventures! Went on another solo Boracay trip, and also met up with friends in between.

MARCH

Two highlights for this month: I got invited to Cebu for an event, then I asked for an extension so I can explore more. March was also PasigLABAN --the night when I felt that there is hope for my country.

APRIL

I've traveled with Tourism Board of the Philippines several times already, but my favorite and most memorable one was in Sorsogon. Because of this trip, I gained a new sister and fellow Korean fan girl Jacque, and had so many new stories to tell with my old friend in the industry Ruthie.

MAY

I finally traveled out of the country for my solo adventure to Singapore. Had so many delicious vegetarian food, met cousins I haven't seen in 2+ years, and navigated the city as if I was a first time traveler again.

JUNE

Meanwhile, June witnessed my first Korean fan meeting in years! Grabe that feeling when I entered a venue filled with fellow fans, screaming their hearts out. Nakaka miss! Saw Kim Soo Hyun and then Rowoon. I also went to Baler for a yoga and freediving event--which was also an experience!

JULY

Months in the making, my friends and I finally went on a roadtrip to Batangas to experience the dome glamping life! Had fun swimming, sliding, eating, all the while playing In the Seom which was big at that time.

AUGUST

Two beach trips for August: Went back to Coron and Siargao to make new memories in these beautiful islands. I also covered Yugyeom's concert for Buzzsetter--a dream come true first assignment as a concert writer and photographer.

SEPTEMBER

And so the Kpop concerts and fan meeting coverages for Buzzsetter continued till September. Saw NCT 127, iKON, ATEEZ, GOT7 Youngjae, Hwang In Yeop, and Jessi LIVE!

OCTOBER

One month in my favorite country where I gained new friends, saw ASTRO and BTS live, hopped in different cities and hostels, and so much more autumn stories even Instagram haven't seen yet! Thankful for this trip. ❤

NOVEMBER

Last few days in golden Seoul. The travel hangover is real, but glad the rest of the month was filled with events where I get to work and see my friends F2F!

DECEMBER

More concerts and fan meetings during the last month of the year! Saw Ji Chang Wook, EXO Chen, EXO Xiumin, TVXQ, BoA, and SB19 live.

Finally, a 2022 recap! Still thinking what this new year will be for me, but I am here, still with my family and friends healthy and happy, still filled with goals and dreams. Let's take it one step at a time, shall we?

Happy New Year!
