The Pili Haven by Vicky's Pili | Irosin, Sorsogon

Sharing snaps from our visit at The Pili Haven in Irosin, Sorsogon!

It was one of our stops in Irosin, before heading to Juban and Bulusan.

A cool semi outdoor Reading Nook:

Pili tree is a low-maintenance crop that grows in rich volcanic soil, commonly found at the Bicol Region. At The Pili Haven, you can learn more about Bicol's main produce the pili nut, from its multiple uses to how they were processed and eaten. This pili farm is operated by Angkie Agri Enterprises, and located in Brgy. Gulang-Gulang, Irosin, Sorsogon.

Interesting chocolate pili spread:

It was my first time to try a ripe pili fruit! They dip it in just-boiled water (not too hot as it will harden the fruit), just enough to easily peel off its black skin. The pili fruit tastes oily, and best eaten with different sauces like sugar or  patis and kalamansi.

Breaking the pili seed to get the pili nut (which is not a nut!):

Kana na! The Pili Haven also serves delicious comfort foods made with local ingredients, with a beautiful view of Mt. Bulusan. They say that actress Heart Evangelista loves going to this restaurant! You can also purchase Vicky’s Pili and Food Products, local handicrafts, tea, and their other products here at The Pili Haven.

Super happy ako sa food nato! Everything tastes clean and fresh, and vegetarian friendly too!

One of the fun stuff at The Pili Haven is going around their farm, and enjoying the photo zones! They have installations that looks like you're in Bali.

Meanwhile, my favorite is this red restored jeepney that turned out to be the first jeepney of the owners. The Navarro family used this as a transportation in the 1990’s to deliver pili en route to Irosin-Bulusan-Sorsogon.
