I really love the style of Kpop idols, most especially when it comes to airport fashion. I used to go to the airport in just white polo or white shirt, when I realized that there are more comfortable options that are still stylish! I got a lot of inspo from idols.
One of the styles that I love is Lisa's of BlackPink, most prob because she's also into streetwear. I am sharing here one of the looks I tried to cop from Lisa, and how you can also achieve the look or at least own a similar piece of clothing of your style icons! Here's how..
On your shopping app, click the camera on the search bar, and upload the photo that you saved. I used Shopee app to search for pieces of clothing to achieve Lisa's yellow hoodie airport outfit, just because they usually have the more affordable choices. But Zalora and Lazada also has the same search feature.
With Shopee, you'll have to zone in the piece of clothing you are looking for. Make sure your photos are clear. On my list are the oversized yellow bell-sleeves hoodie, a pair of jeans, and a black handbag. Photo-search for every item one by one.
Here are some of the pieces that came out from my search for the yellow hoodie. Look for the ones that are similar to your peg, and make sure to also check on the reviews for actual pictures of the products. I usually buy from shops that already have at least 5 good reviews with photos on the item.
A boo-boo from this project are the jeans that I bought! They are really nice, and quality looks good, but the sizing is too small! I think I already got 1 to 2 sizes up my usual, but they still did not fit me! I ended up just wearing the pants that I already own.
And lastly, here are the bags that showed up on my search. They have a lot of options with different price range. Another tip when searching is to scroll down at the end of the listing to see more "Similar Items" from other shops! You might just score better designs, or same style but in lower price!
And here's the final look! What do you think?
Best part is I spent less than Php 1500 in total! ❤
In Conclusion:
I really enjoyed doing this style challenge, but since I am purchasing online, it also comes with risks like bad fitting or poor quality (expectations vs reality!). Shopee has a lot of options at affordable price tags since most of their stuff came straight from China! If you're looking for more quality and branded stuff though, go for Zalora. For bags and sneakers, I usually go for branded ones since there's a chance that when I liked a bag or shoes, I'll be using them on the DAILY. It's also hard to travel with ill-fitting shoes or carry bags with broken zippers. And unlike dresses or tops, bags and shoes are usually the ones that stay in my closet for yearsss!
Tip number 2, make sure to shop via Shopback app! If you're not yet familiar with this, create your account NOW! I entered this app a bit too late, and I regret that most of my online purchases weren't from Shopback yet.
Through Shopback, you can get a percentage of your money back after a purchase from your usual shopping sites like Zalora, Lazada, BeautyMNL, and Shopee (% depends on the app). I think Zalora has the biggest percentage at 18% cash back! Shopback also carries the usual travel apps like Klook, Agoda, and Booking.com--which I have yet to try. So far, about a month since I used Shopback, I already have Php 900+ on my wallet! You can withdraw this after the allowed weeks or month of returns for the items that you bought, just to avoid buyers returning their purchases after withdrawing their Shopback money.
An important tip, make sure to still use your promo codes even when you purchase from Shopback. Imagine getting double the discounts by just doing these two online shopping tricks! For Zalora, I automatically input influencers' promo codes KERWIN and ZCBTL20 for 20% off!
Lastly, "copying" of style shouldn't literally be going for what is exactly the same. Have fun and try to get the essence of the outfit, but at the same time, inject your own personality to the look.
Have fun! ✨
