Korea in Uptown Mall BGC: ILAHUI and NATURE REPUBLIC

Surprisingly, I found myself at the Uptown Mall in BGC several times this month. Do not confuse this with the one in QC, this mall is the one nearer The Palace in Taguig. It might not be the most accessible mall from my place, but I like going here because of the unique stores and even restaurants. My favorites for food are Melt, Hello Kitty Cafe, and Shaburi. As for the stores, they have rare street style brands (Anti Social, Supreme) carried by The Nines and Popcorn. I also love the Adidas lifestyle boutique here, they seem to carry more styles.

I had two events specifically Korean-themed both located in Uptown Mall BGC. One is a huge shopping party with wasteland Ilahui, while the other is a new store launch of Nature Republic.

Sharing photos from my visit + my haul!

ILAHUI

One of Bloggers United 15's partners for our recent event is Ilahui. In their Facebook about page, they describe themselves as "your one-stop shop for Korean inspired premium products." In short, they are Korean themed. It's a wasteland of all things cute where, once you've entered, it's impossible to go out empty-handed!

I enjoyed shopping in Ilahui's home section, and can imagine going here when I have my own condo na to decorate it. They also have a huge screen playing Kpop music videos and even Kdrama OSTs, so I sometimes stop from my shopping just to watch, hehehe.

Here are the different sections inside Ilahui at the Uptown Mall BGC, one of their big branches here in Manila:

Got so confused by the amount of cuteness in their plushies and pillows area:

For fashion finds, they have nice bags that actually look sturdy, trendy sunglasses, hats and caps, and small purses like wallets, pouches, and vanity kits.

They have canvass bags with zippers, backpacks, cute socks (I like the sporty style with numbers), hair clips, baseball caps and scarves:

For beauty, they have several stuff from their bath and body section, nail polish for only Php 99 for 2 bottles, sheet masks, all sorts of makeup products:

In the home section they have boxes and containers, home decors like clocks and frames, bedroom slippers, small towels, hangers, tech stuff like headset and earphones and battery sets, and kitchen sets like glasses, plates, no-spill baunan, etc.

Exciting for coffee lovers... They will also be opening a CAFE in this branch too!

So here are some of the stuff I got. Wasn't able to take photos na of the others because either I am already using them or my sisters and mom got them already, hehe!

Cute collapsable boxes to organize stuff in my room:

Random plushies! I love the white panda, it's so soft and huggable!

Travel pea-shaped neck pillows for me and my sister:

Random 90s spring rainbow toys, maybe to gift to my pamangkins:

Random bath stuff: facial wash, body wash, and shampoo.

Daily essentials: Packs of tissue, cotton pads, cotton buds, wet wipes, lint roller:

Perfumes in cute box and bottles:

More cute stuff: hair ties, pens sets, printed pouch:

Canvass bag and chained structured velvet bag that will both look cute during events:

Eyebrow product and makeup brushes:

NATURE REPUBLIC

It's Nature Republic's 11th store in the country, and I am so glad to have visited their launch in BGC! They gave away EXO standees during the program haha, and even had storewide discounts and freebies the whole day!

In their FB about page, they say that "Nature Republic is a leading cosmetic brand from South Korea, featuring quality beauty products that are derived from natural substances and essences." I've seen several branches of Nature Republic in Myeongdong and Hongdae, and they are globally popular for their tubs of Aloe and for having EXO as main endorsers.

From tubs of Aloe Vera Soothing Gel, the product evolved and now came in different forms, uses, and packaging. They have the cleaner tube container, wet wipes variant, "hand cream" variant, eye roller, and even spray type mist!

Other notable Nature Republic products: All sorts of facial cleansing products from gel to foam wash, facial sunscreen, 10+10 sheet masks in different variants, and skincare essentials from serum to moisturizers to toners, etc.

They also have stuff for the nails (nail polish, polish remover), special EXO limited edition products, makeup tools like sponge and brushes, and even a travel kit that comes with a pouch and small bottled products.

Here are the stuff that I got:

Aloe Vera Soothing Gel in tub, tube, spray mist, and the hand cream for my mom:

New Obsession: The Green Tea line! 💚🌿 Got so addicted with green tea on my skincare because it works for my acne prone skin. So I got the foaming wash to try as alternative to my Neogen, a Fresh Green Tea Serum, Green Tea sheet mask, and hand cream that's on buy 1 get 1. The sample sized toner, emulsion and cream were freebies for the day, yey!

I am currently using them for my night regimen ever since I got the products. Medyo nanibago yung face ko at first, acquiring around 2-3 tiny red dots on my cheeks. I guess may harsh ingredient na hindi hiyang sakin, so I used a sheet mask and eventually no more irritations. Medyo drying lang sya since they are all Green Tea so last night I topped everything with a cold layer of the Aloe Soothing Gel (nilagay ko sa ref, hehe). Woke up feeling fresh! Wala talaga akong masabi sa product na yan. 💚

The only non Aloe and Green Tea that I got that day are the Argan Oil Essential Moist Hair Mist, and the internet popular Nature Republic Aqua Super Aqua Max Fresh Watery Cream. I love the consistency and smell of the latter when I tried it in the store. But when I used it that night, medyo natatapangan ako sa fragrance niya although it does its job of moisturizing my skin well. I decided to just forgo using it muna, and stick to the milder scented Aloe Soothing Gel. If you're ok with scented products, then this one's super sulit at only Php 585.

Note: Some of the products might work or not work for me, but it still depends on your skin type.

The freebies I got that day aside from the Green Tea samples:

Have you recently shopped in these stores too? Since I got a lot of stuff, some nadoble din, I decided to give away some of them on my Instagram! Follow me @anagon to check it out, it will be up soonest! Thank you! ... Or should I say, kamsahamnida! ❤
