Few more days till the year ends, and for sure you are already planning and scheming that 2018 is going to be awesome! My game plan? To "See The World" more!
If, like me, you also want to travel more next year, then I encourage you to book your flights via AirAsia. Why? They have an ongoing campaign to raise one million pesos to provide sponsorship program for many children as direct recipients across the country. For every AirAsia seats booked or sold in the Philippines from December 1 to 31, 2017, Php 5 will be automatically donated to World Vision's child sponsorship program! More reasons to book those tickets now.
Last November 29, I went with AirAsia and World Vision Philippines to Bohol to visit one of World Vision's school beneficiaries. It was an early morning flight, but everyone's in trooper mode on! I was with my ComCo family, their other media guests, and of course my friend Mother Earth in Terminal 4 at around 6am to catch AirAsia's first trip for the day to Tagbilaran.
When seatbelt signs were turned off, we were immediately served our inflight meals (my breakfast), and right after eating, our celebrity guests and World Vision advocates Gretchen Ho and Tippy Dos Santos went in front of the aircraft. They announced to the full plane audience about AirAsia and World Vision's recent projects.
I heard Gretchen Ho saying "Bucketlist!" after she spoke in front of the aircraft!
Right after their short message, AirAsia's flight attendants handed loot bags to all the people onboard. Christmas is indeed in the air!
Congrats on the successful / impromptu program onboard! ❤
But our day did not end there! When we reached Bohol, our vans immediately transported us to Oy, Loboc Barangay Hall.
Where we were greeted by fiesta music the moment we opened our van's door! I love schools!
What amazed me most was when Gretchen and Tippy immediately approached and interacted with the students. They have so much energy even after the morning flight and their busy scheds!
Gretchen played volleyball...
While Tippy joined the band and sang songs from Let It Go to the Philippine National Anthem!
The whole morning was spent playing and singing:
After that, our World Vision advocates also had inspiring words for the students:
Tippy Dos Santos: "Tibayin ang loob. Make sure the seeds you plant in your heart, mabuti."
Gretchen Ho: "Huwag matakot mangarap. Wag isipin na kulang ka, ganto ka lang. Tapang ang puhunan. From volleyball court to hosting, iisa lang ang puhunan ko. Kapal ng mukha." -- This sent the students laughing, but of course, the message is true!!
It was a fun and fruitful morning... Kahit ako super nainspire! :)
Which ended with happy dancing and yummy cups of the creamiest buko juice from the ladies of Loboc!
After that, we visited their school at the Oy National High School, just a few minutes away from the Barangay Hall. We were once again greeted by the student band. We toured the classrooms, and had few more photo ops and selfies, before we said our goodbyes.
Next stop was a floating restaurant for our lunch, but will blog more about half of our day in a separate post!
Meanwhile, AirAsia Philippines flies to Tacloban, Tagbilaran (Bohol), Puerto Princesa (Palawan), Clark, and Iloilo in the Philippines, and international flights include Shanghai, Taipei, Incheon (Seoul), Hong Kong, Macau, Kuala Lumpur, Kota Kinabalu, Guangzhou, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Singapore. If you're planning to go to these places next year, then check out www.airasia.com for the fares, and fly knowing you've contributed to these children's future!
