K-Drama Tour Part 2

I miss the cool breeze of a beautiful Spring day in Seoul! 🌸

In between cherry blossoms spotting and my tours with Trazy, I carried on with my Instax Kdrama bucket list. Read more on this project HERE. Thank you to all those who kept on messaging me about this tour and for all your questions and most especially for the good words! Still overwhelmed, but in a good way. ❤

So without further talks, here's my #kdramatour Part 2!

DAY 2

Mango Six

Park Shin Hye worked here in the classic kdrama The Heirs. Found a branch near Sinsa Station, although it's not the same as the one from The Heirs (which is Gangnam). I ordered the Mango Coconut Smoothie, the same drink Lee Min Ho and Kim Woo Bin had! 😍 Super unique combi, and it's yummy!

Entrance Fee: Just buy a drink (5900 KRW for Mango Coconut Smoothie)
How to get there: Sinsa Station Line 3, Exit 8

KBS Experience Hall

The home of kdrama favorites Descendants of the Sun, Moonlight Drawn By Clouds, Uncontrollably Fond, Hwarang, and Boys Over Flowers, entering the KBS Experience Hall is a must for the fans! Aside from kdramas, the whole building is dedicated to the different wings of KBS network.. From radio, sound effects, 9 o'clock news, etcetera. Give it around 30 minutes to an hour of your itinerary, best part is no entrance fees!

Entrance Fee: Free
How to get there: Yeouido Station Line 5, Exit 3

Bridge in Yongdap Station from Goblin

Funny story, I got so excited and immediately took so much pictures on the first bridge I saw from Yongdap station's exit, only to realize that it's the wrong one! Kaya pala something looks off, HAHA! Had to go up a few flights for the right bridge, so remember it's the one with the white bars! 😂 Anyway, there's almost zero passerby when I took photos here, so you can have your "Grim-Sunny-jade ring moment", hehe.

Oops! It's not the same bridge! Mwahaha!

Even made an effort to ask a stranger to take my photo, HAHA!

Finally!

Emote uli, hehehe.

Entrance Fee: Free
How to get there: Yongdap Station Line 2, Exit 2

Coffee Bay from Cheese in the Trap

It's not the same branch where Hong Seol worked as a cashier / barista in the series, and I wasn't able to dine because of time constraints, but hey! It's a Coffee Bay cafe! 😍 Promise to try their latte on my next trip.

Entrance Fee: Free
How to get there: Gangbyeong Station Line 2
For the actual Coffee Bay from the series: Gasan Digital Complex Station Exit 4

Jimjilbang from Legend of the Blue Sea

Jimjilbang is Korea's version of a traditional public bathhouse, which has been on my Korea travel bucket list for a while now. Finally got to try it during this trip, and at the same branch where they shot scenes from LOTBS! See the pink uniform that Shim Chung wore.

Must be one of the most memorable experiences in this trip, a jimjilbang is not like any other massage spa place. You have to go in a huge room filled with strangers stripped down, butt-naked, and dip in pools with extreme temperatures (super hot to super cold). So imagine the irony of mermaid Shim Chung deciding to spend the night in a jimjilbang! 😂 Naalala ko bigla yung crazy reactions of Heo Joon Jae to protect her from water, haha!

This is Riverside Spa Land's common area for men and women. You can actually sleep here, or eat while watching TV, or play in the arcade.

These doors lead to different sauna rooms. Didn't go in na. I tried the full body scrub earlier on, which felt so so good for my skin after!

My favorite part because food + clothes. Haha! Had dinner in the common room, and there's no need to pay right away so I ordered a lot from black noodles ala Cinderella and Four Knights to Melona! They collect your tabs through this water resistant bracelet, and charge you before you exit the building.

Black Noodles + Sweet Corn + KPop

Tried to nap just for the experience, hehe.

Riverside Spa Land
Entrance Fee: Basic rate is 9000 KRW
How to get there: Gangbyeong Station Line 2

Dal.Komm Coffee

Ended Day 2 with a cup of latte in the classic kdrama cafe: Dal.Komm! I've seen this logo so many times in several kdramas like Descendants of the Sun, but I realized that I haven't been in one in all my Korea trips! Actual shooting location is usually far, but spotted a branch in Seoul through Google Maps, and it's an easy walk from the train station.

Entrance Fee: Free, my coffee is around 4800 KRW
How to get there: Jeongja Station Line B, Exit 3

DAY 3

Wall from Goblin

Passed by this area during our Deoksugung Palace walking tour with Trazy. Several scenes in Goblin were shot here, including the one in my Instax print, and it's also the place where Kim Shin first met the Grim Reaper. We were in a hurry, so I just took a quick snap:

Entrance Fee: Free
How to get there: City Hall Station, Exit 1

Roses Monument

The backdrop in Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo after she had her "first date" with obesity doctor and big-time crush Jung Jae-yi. It is actually in front of Seoul Museum of Art, which we also accidentally passed by during the Deoksugung Palace walking tour with Trazy.

Entrance Fee: Free
How to get there: City Hall Station, Exit 1

Han River Cruise

It's a 30-minute leisurely cruise around Seoul's Hangang River. Aside from spotting popular landmarks like the Namsan Tower and National Assembly Building, the cruise also reminded me of my favorite love team Do Min Joon and Cheon Song Yi from My Love From Another Star! They even played the kdrama's theme song on the boat! More on this experience HERE.

Entrance Fee: 13.5 USD via www.trazy.com
How to get there: Yeouinaru Station Line 5, Exit 3

Yeouido Hangang Park and 63 Square

Didn't realize it's a Legend of the Blue Sea shooting location, but I immensely enjoyed my stroll around Hangang Park on my way to my cruise schedule. It was where Heo Joon Jae and his mom watched fireworks when he was a kid! Only found out thanks to Instagram comments when I posted this photo! Aside from this park, which is now my new favorite place in Seoul, also in the area is the 63 Square where Shim Chung "worked" as a mermaid.

Entrance Fee: Free
How to get there: Yeouinaru Station Line 5, Exit 3.

Traveling can be tiring--both physically and mentally. Rests are shorter. Days seem one. I suddenly sleep deeper and more soundly, and then wake up earlier than usual!

From time to time, especially when "normal life" becomes monotonous, I look for this kind of thrill. Glad I can share them with you, k-friends! Almost down to my last 1-2 Korea posts!

Hope you're enjoying, tweet me @anagon! Let's spaz together. :)
