I realized that I've been to a lot of
Pax's birthdays for the past years that we've been friends, one of them was even held in Victoria Court! Haha! We're looong time blog friends....and I am proud of it! I've lost count how many times I've cried in front of Pax because of my dramas, or how many times we've fought (haha!). But in the end, I am happy that we always end up even closer - I can't wait for the next events, trips, and experiences we will have on her new year!
As per tradition, went to Pax's birthday celebration in an Airbnb home in Paranaque, even though it's not commutable! Can't miss this.
Here's a project that aims to inspire creativity: BEYOND, a creative comic book collab between Dan Matutina, graphic designer and co-founder of branding and design agency, Plus63 Design Co., and Charles Paw, CEO of Digits Trading Inc.
To produce the Next Big Thing in music, Greenwich teamed up with only the best of the best in the Philippine music industry to mentor and select the Ultimate Bandkada of 2016.
I love trying different-flavored sodas you find in small shops that sell imported variants. Mountain Dew though gave us more options that's way easier to avail... And very delicious too! From their classic green bottle, Mountain Dew releases two new exciting limited edition flavors! Find out more about them below.
My dream is to have a Japanese style home where everything I see "sparks joy". I am a fan of KonMari, which is essentially not minimalist living but close to that. The KonMari aims to have a home or space where you are surrounded only by things you love.
I think this is the essence of K&K Personal Store.
I have to be honest. At first I was super afraid of Gluta (or Glutathione). I've avoided one too many projects related to this! I thought it was an unnatural substance just to lighten the skin, until I learned more about it through SnowCaps Glutathione's campaigns and events from the past months.
But the best part? SnowCaps uses JAPAN Glutathione! Iba talaga when you say that something's Made In Japan because the Japanese are serious with quality control.
Learned more about this during yesterday's event with Trice, Ava, Seph, Rodel, and Ruth:
In my crowd where online influencers and Instagram "Feel Goals" are the current cool, I will always be a
Chuvaness fan. Her blog makes writing still cool (a blog that you will still read from end to end because of Ms. C's easy writing style).
I've met Ms. Cecile (Van Straten) several times in events, and during all these I was cowering and painfully shy, nakakahiya level! Haha! I guess ganun talaga when you look up to someone! Ms. Cecile owns a unique style, chica as she describes the Japanese women on her travel posts. So imagine when I learned about her collaboration with National Bookstore:
I think I bought almost everything during the media event yesterday! More details below on the collection and some event photos. :)
(Plus details on how to WIN 50,000 AirAsia BIG Points!)
AirAsia Philippines is currently holding the AirAsia Travel Photographer 2016 competition, and I already have my bet! (Read more on the contest HERE)
From all the six finalists, I will go for Dave Poblete, a 26-year-old BPO employee from Makati. Before they fly to Shanghai for the final challenges, I was able to interview Dave. Get to know more about this young photographer, where he discovered the competition, his dream travel destinations, and how he started with photography. I was also able to get some of his sample works, na super ganda, it made me a bit teary eyed when I first opened the files.. That's possible pala!
Anyway, read on and be inspired! :)
I don't know how my parents are doing it! In my generation, one year is already "long term" relationship status. But with mom and dad, they boast their 30+ years of marriage...hindi pa kasama pre-wedding years nila.
I hate to admit that I am scared of how unstable relationships are now. It gives me minor anxieties, being alone feels more comfortable. My friends who are in a relationship for 10+ years will say that it's not that there were no bumps along the way. No formulas will help, and we will all encounter different cases with different persons, but still, I asked some of them to share pieces of advice for couples na nagkaka-sawaan na. Read on!
So here's my Pokemon story, out of all the character stores we saw in Japan.. Sanrio, Snoopy, Disney, Studio Ghibli, etcetera, Pokemon's the one that I missed out (sorry!). I was clueless about Pokemon before, but downloaded the game anyway the moment it came out. I started playing with it nalang a few days later, on the plane before leaving Coron because I was right next to Paul who taught me how to use an incense and catch the monsters. In short, I enjoy playing it but I am nowhere near as good as you guys! :)
Last Saturday, I told Ate about Ayala Malls' Lure Party, and since she's super into Pokemon-Go, she drove me to Alabang Town Center. I also thought that it's a nice time to catch-up and level-up!
A few weeks ago, I attended AirAsia Travel Photographer's announcement of finalists. Six young aspiring photographers have been selected from OVER 500 PARTICIPANTS!
Here's how the event went:
I have big respect for professional athletes. I'm a fan of sports, and since I am not fit to compete, I just enjoy watching them. There was a time that I even wrote for the SEA Games. I had absolutely no idea about my assigned sport (Table Tennis), but I watched and read up a lot about it. "Fake it till you make it", and indeed, it is one of the most unforgettable writing stint in my life!
In support of all our athletes competing at the Rio Olympics, here's the top five life lessons we can get from their stories:
Did you know that only 10% of the world's population is skilful with their left hands?
I just learned about this yesterday, thinking how unique (and special!) my younger sister is (a lefty). A lot of things in this world are designed for right-handed people, making everyday things trickier for the left-handed: from writing, driving, to even locking the gate!
Tables were turned yesterday as Pilipinas Shell challenged me and my friends to several tasks... using our left hands!
UNIQLO partners with celebrity stylists Liz Uy and Rex Atienza for the launch of their latest Jogger Pants Collection. Went to UNIQLO Rockwell yesterday for their styling tips and shopping party.
"Mas mabilis pa ata ang flight kesa byahe along EDSA!"
Heard this as we landed smoothly in Busuanga's Francisco B. Reyes Airport for our three-day adventure in Coron. Mas mabilis pa kesa sa byahe ko papuntang airport, sa totoo lang! :D
It was my second time in Coron, and first time to ride SkyJet Airlines. The experience was an instant treat! I realized that I've been so used to budget airlines, that every little thing counts.
Here's how our flight went...
Wow! I am actually going to watch a ballet next week, haha! It's an art that I've never mastered, but I find each production and performer super amusing - their attention to details is superb (from their costume, set, to their movement), and their mastery of skills, everything's just on-point!
Excited to watch the classics in Ballet Manila's REVENGE OF THE CLASSICS. They will be showing CINDERELLA, DON QUIJOTE (!), REBEL: EDSA 30, and THE SWAN, THE FAIRY, AND THE PRINCESS at the Aliw Theater.

Last week, was lucky enough (cringe, haha) to meet International supermodel and Penshoppe's newest ambassador: Lucky Blue Smith!
Straight from the airport, Lucky Blue went to Conrad Manila for the intimate press conference.
Start the week right with The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf®'s delicious, flavorful cup of premium tea.
This August 8 - October 3, 2016, the brand is offering their world famous Featured Teas for only Php 100 every Monday to inspire customers to greet the first day of the work week with good vibes!
This is true, I have stores that I just enter because their place is super mabango (Kashieca in Festival Mall, hehe). I'm hoping to discover what scent they are using, but for now, I am happy to have a scent aerator for my room!
I've tried Organique Acai some few months ago after hearing nothing but raves about this superfood. The brand that started in 2008 has now gone a long way - with a new packaging and celebrity endorser.
Below are more details and photos from their event last July 28, 2016 at the Makati Shangri-la.
