I had my first run for the year yesterday at my home base in Filinvest Alabang.
This is also my first run since 2011, something I've avoided because
a) Runs are usually held supersuper early in the morning,
and b) I feel that I am not prepared... but when will we ever be prepared, anyway?
So yesterday, I had no excuse! Venue is just 5 minutes away from home, and I've been going to the gym to hit the cross-training machine at least once a week! I thought the challenge is worth the try.
I was invited by Saucony, so I immediately looked for their booth the moment I reached the venue.
The field is jam packed with runners and enthusiasts availing all the sponsors' booths gimmicks and freebies:
With Saucony's booth, I learned that they even gave away pairs of their running shoes!
Attended the event with my blog bff @paultheprguy. We even saw the running duo Ate Ruth and Kuya Noy, who finished the 42K run that morning! Barefooted! He started 12mn palang, grabe!
Meanwhile Paul and I were just given the 3K kit, hehehe. Di na ako aangal! :D

The run wasn't as dreadful as I thought! I had my earphones on (Justin Bieber music while jogging, haha), and was with good company.
Also, I enjoyed using my pair of Saucony running shoes.. It made the experience more comfortable with its lightweight feature, and feeling pro pa ako. Haha.
The fun in the run, haha! Thanks bff, mas hiningal ako sa kakatawa! :D
Before we knew it, we're already near the finish line!
Aside from the its stylish design, Saucony is really made to run. Saucony Running Shoes are available for both men and women.
My pair is a Saucony Mayhem 2 (Php 3895), made for light running (roads), and normal training. The Saucony Mayhem 2 features great arch support, protection, and impact absorption with its cushioning.
It also provided good traction, and seem very durable. I'm excited to overuse this on my next workouts and runs.
Ended the Sunday morning with a medal, yey!
