Kung iisipin, Pinoys are basically normcores. Whenever I ride the MRT to an event, I see around 80% of the train passengers naka denim pants and simple t-shirts. That's why we have so much brands carrying these clothing, nakakalito tuloy pag shoppingan. I guess nagkakatuos nalang with the quality, comfort, and style.
Enter a classic brand that we always see in our favorite department stores. BOBSON, the pure Japanese denim brand, signals a fresh, crisp, modern, and clean approach to denim that should excite every jean-loving Pinoy. It's a Japanese brand pala!
Bobson is a unisex clothing brand that offers jeans and t-shirts with good craftsmanship at affordable price.
For the ladies...
They relaunched the brand last October 16 at the Sakura KTV & Sake Bar in Alphaland South Gate--introducing it again for its Japanese heritage to the public.
In-theme is this yummy menu for our Japanese dinner, and Sakura restaurant's sleek backdrop:
With bloggers Yuki, Trice, and Ava, and the event's host Janeena Chan:
Founded by Toshiharu Ozaki in Japan’s Okayama prefecture, the country’s denim capital, BOBSON brings with it 54 years of solid denim heritage that gives it the edge in knowing the market’s needs and creating jeans of superior craftsmanship. Today, the brand continues its legacy of finely-crafted jeans as it expands its market in the Philippines.

Sakura chefs showed us how mabusisi ang pagprepare ng Japanese food:
And, like almost anything from Japan, they also showed to us the intricacy of every pair of Bobson denim pants. They gave great attention to detail, contructing their clothing with care and precision.
“BOBSON is here to redefine the jeans scene in the Philippines. The brand aims to stand for comfort, style, and quality that is rooted in superior Japanese craftsmanship. We are excited to bring these impeccably-made jeans to the market with the arrival of BOBSON from Japan,” remarks BOBSON brand director Chris Magnaye.
“We give denim lovers pieces that make them look fashionable without the effort. Moreover, BOBSON goes beyond face value, because a touch of the fabric and examination of the construction would reveal that the fine craftsmanship is present in each pair of jeans—this is the BOBSON Denim DNA,” Magnaye explains.
Key elements include the left hand twill, a softer way of weave that makes every pair feel like second skin; stitch belt loops for stronger construction; and pewter rivet buttons that are more durable. BOBSON is also made with 11 stitches per inch (SPI) to achieve that coveted refined look, and finished off with the crest-shaped back pocket design to mark its Japanese heritage.
With a red dot logo that aptly reflects its roots—the land of the rising sun—BOBSON envisions itself to be the denim of choice for the stylish set who never compromise quality.
Capped the night with our sushi, sashimi, and mochi ice cream. I am excited to try Bobson Juri jeggings on my The SM Store visit!
