Midnight Cravings: Mesa SM Clark
Before heading to Day 2 of our 7107 adventure, we stopped over SM Clark to check out the newly opened MESA branch for lunch. Ok ba ang music festival-ready outfits namin nila Paul and Sarah? ;p
Filipino food served with great presentation and unique twist--MESA is finally available to northerners especially those who are near SM Clark. They are proud of their global-quality Pinoy cuisines, just like the following mouth-watering dishes:
Meat-lovers are in for a treat--they have the CRISPCHON baby suckling pig (de leche) served the traditional way or 2 ways: wrapped in pandan crepe with choice of sauces or tossed in chili garlic.
Other best-sellers include Hito Flakes on Spoon (crispy pulled
catfish with mango
salad), Shrimp Cake (delicious
Shrimp patties skewered
with asparagus), Chicken Binacol (chicken
simmered in broth with young coconut
and green papaya), Shrimp on the Rocks (river shrimp cooked in sizzling hot stones), Laing 2 Ways (taro leaves, pork, shrimp paste and coconut cream topped with adobo flakes,), Pinatayong Manok, Tinapa Roll, Crispy Tawilis on Spoon, and special rice such as Bagoong Rice, Sisig Rice, Tinapa
Rice, Laing Fried Rice and Duck
Basil Fried Rice. And to fellow vegetarians, you'll love their pancit and tofu dishes.
All items are affordable, with serving that is
good for sharing!
MESA was conceptualized and
realized by partners
Sen. Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan and restaurateur Rikki Dee
with Sharon Cuneta and KC
Concepcion, while MESA SM Clark is owned and operated by the franchisee Tres
Bonne Cuisine Corporation with Mike Sicat, Jojo Sicat, Oging Sicat, Rus Reciña and Wiljohn Maronilla as partners.

Mesa is the very first restaurant that me and my boyfriend tried in which it's both our first time to dine at the said restaurant. We ate at the SM Aura branch one fine Saturday. Since the day I can't remember, I've been hearing good feedbacks about the food and Mesa all in all. Now, I could attest how good the food is, after we ate there, the Laing and Sinigang is to die for. I'm proud and happy at the same time that there's such a Filipino restaurant around the metro that serves delicious and tasteful Filipino food, staff that has the spirit of Filipino hospitality and also a place with locally inspired decors. If ever I win I would definitely try the Crispchon and Shrimp on the Rocks! Pangalan. I love eating pork and shrimp dishes and since I haven't tried both, it's definitely on my list!

I've been eating at Mesa SM Clark for a few times but they have not yet failed to satisfy! Unfortunately there are so many choices that I've yet to taste, but definitely want to try their Crispchon if I have the chance! :)
