PhFW SS2014: PENSHOPPE

“What we do is bring to our market what’s new and in vogue, but translated into relatable pieces for the Filipino,”
said Penshoppe brand director (and genius!) Jeff Bascon.

With refreshing color combinations, new cuts and silhouettes, and fun prints, Penshoppe takes cues from the global style scene and infuses the local fashion landscape with season-relevant trends.

Seen in the runway are bare midriffs, fitted pencil-cut and flirty skater skirts, equatorial printed bottoms, boxy tops, and lightweight tees and sweaters in soft pastels. Mixed and matched to put together eye-catching outfits, Penshoppe’s Spring/Summer 2014 collection trained the spotlight on three major style statements: bright colors, bold prints, and new silhouettes.

Floral and leafy patterns graciously softened otherwise boxy structures of loose-fitting pieces also included in the anthology.

Add in a refreshing twist to color-blocking—putting together cool and delicate hues of pink, blue, and green—and the result was a welcome amalgamation of radical yet current looks for the season.

Personally, I am in love with the tropical prints! With these kind of designs, I can't wait for summer to come sooner!
