I took out my fun flared skirt, and gave my heels a break even on a formal event for the Dancing at the Maynila last Friday, October 11, at the Manila Hotel.
Ready to tango! Char, hehe!

The Dancing at the Maynila opened the grandest and iconic Maynila Ballroom of the Manila Hotel to VIPs, guests, and to anyone actually who wanted to showcase their skill or give ballroom dancing a shot!
My dates! Hehe. Fellow Manila Hotel Red Bloggers Ejay, Ely, and MJ:
Chandeliers, red carpet, beautiful ceilings and walls with narra arches set the sophisticated and glamorous ambiance. In love nako sa Manila Hotel!
Entrance is at P1,200, which is inclusive na of welcome drink, Signature Party Platter, a surprise gift, and a dance partner!
Napa-OMG talaga ako when I entered the venue! The Maynila Ballroom was dressed to the nines, and I love the happy vibe while people tap their feet to the music, and eventually conquered the dance floor to show their moves!
It was my first time also to try ballroom dancing, and sobrang nakakahiya na parang typical klutz girl ako from the movie na parating natatapakan ang aking D.I.! Kawawa ang kuko, hahaha! He was very patient though, and told me he'll bring me back to the dance floor pag easier song na--sana tipong slow dance ako natapat, but no! Sa cha-cha! ;p
The event was also dubbed as a "Red Masquerade", so most guests came in their bloody formal ensembles... And there were few who even sported a mask! Cool!
Because of the heavy traffic, Paul arrived late, but still, nagpakitang gilas parin sa ballroom dancing that night! While trying to survive the chacha, nakikita ko si bff sa corner ng eye ko dancing like a pro. Kainiz! Haha. At the bar after dancing:
A big thank you to Manila Hotel and Kuya Jeman for this great experience! I am still old-fashion at heart, I really enjoyed the music that night especially when the live band played classic favorites like Moon River, Kahit Maputi na and Buhok Ko, and Someone to Watch Over Me. Big sigh nalang for old romance, my weakness. :)
Enjoy your very own glamorous night as the Dancing at the Maynila opens its doors each month!
