Be a Certified Digital Marketer!

I've always wanted to go back to school, just deciding whether to go for a fashion school (design-side), fashion marketing school (SOFA and FIP both offer marketing and merchandising courses), or a hardcore business school with a marketing course. Then I learned about the Certified Digital Marketer Program (CDM) - a professional certification course designed for on-the-go marketers and businessmen, built on both managerial and technical points of view. Since I have an online business, I think a marketing-online course is the way to go!

The launch was held in the AIM Conference Center where we met the speakers and CDM professors and marketing practitioners Miguel Ramos (President-Internet and Mobile Marketing Association of the Philippines, Chairman-Aegis Media), Coni Cruz (Director & Education Chair-Internet and Mobile Marketing Association of the Philippines, Senior Manager-Henderson Blake), Hans Eric Roxas-Chua (Co-Director-Certified Digital Marketer Program), and Arlene Amarante (Country Head-Yahoo Philippines, Co-Director-Certified Digital Marketer Program)

Study anytime, anywhere!

What if the interested student doesn't have good internet connection?
From the speakers, I learned that the Certified Digital Marketer program is a FULL ONLINE course, but there's optional face-to-face intro sessions for each module. The "online classroom" is also designed by e-Learning EDGE to accommodate even the slowest of connections. They also record "live classes" not only for those with slow internet, but for the busy students who can't attend the video sessions.

Bff aka classmate Paul asked this during the Q&A, naks diligent student si PR Guy, hehe. Thanks for inviting me!

Do you have to finish all courses / modules?
Program can be taken in full or in part--each module serving a stand-alone course. But once the 12-module program is completed, the student gets a Certificate of Completion and qualifies for an industry-recognized Certified Marketer title, to distinguish himself as a marketer with a solid foundation in digital marketing.

Beside the full professional certificate program, there are 5 specialty tracks designed for specific career paths namely Social Media Marketing Specialist Track, Digital Media Planning Specialist Track, Digital Marketing Analytics Track, eBusiness Specialist Track, and Certified in Digital Public Relations Program.

Is there an age limit to enroll for the CDM Program?
Anybody can study for the CDM title--they also have an undergraduate program for the students.

Industry and University Backed
CDM Program is supported by big industry players such as IMMAP, Philippine Association of National Advertisers, Philippine Retailers Assoc., People Management Assoc of the Philippines, Public Relations Society of the Philippines, and 2 top universities of the country: Ateneo de Manila University, and De La Salle University

In this digital age, where everyone owns at least 2 gadgets (phone, tablet, or camera), and most people wouldn't end a day without a "selfie" or uploading a pretty picture of their food in Instagram, Digital Marketing is an interesting step-up course to level up your game. For the International Institute of Digital Marketing's CDM Program, their goal is to make digital a part of the whole marketing scheme--to learn marketing, and to apply these tried-and-tested concepts and theories to cover even the social media generation.

What to post to effectively utilize your FB fan page? How to hold those online giveaways? Instagram and Twitter as part of your whole marketing scheme? You can learn about these and more--and be a certified practitioner recognized internationally through the Certified Digital Marketer program! Interesting noh? Let's be classmates? :)

  1. Hi Ana! Were you able to attend? I'm looking for a course on such.

By the way, I, too, am South of Manila-based. :)
