Roxy x Diane Von Furstenberg
Summer na talaga!!! Maliban sa sooobrang init kelangan may extra clothes ka na sa bag weather, I just attended a SWIMSUIT event yesterday! Time to scout for Bora/Coron/L.U./etc -worthy swimwear na uli!
The event last night was for ROXY--ang brand na sobrang classic nga naman. I remembered nung high school or even grade school, basta naka Roxy ka cool ka. As in Roxy messenger or duffel bag, Roxy wallet--ay ikaw na talaga! Very varsity girl ang look! Anyway, the NEW ROXY COLLECTION for summer 2013 is a big collaboration with design icon Diane Von Furstenberg! (aka the DVF)
The event was held sa Sea Side Wall Garden of Sofitel Philippine Plaza. We had great food and drinks:
May photo booth area (the flip-book type of photo booth!)
And...My favorite siguro that night: A ukelele band! They sang my favorite Ingrid Michaelson song You and I! :D Naset nila the mood that night, na sobrang chill, carefree, relax, (insert other beach vibe description here).
Other than the performers, I LOVE the whole set-up! Kulang nalang swimsuit (at pera pang check in sa Sofitel, lol).
Everyone's required to wear flowy white outfit, AND FLATS! Panalo lang, more events na FLATS lang dapat please! ;p Hehehe!
Program started: Chinky De Guzman, Roxy’s Brand Associate, with event's hosts Nicola Sebastian and Lui Tortuya:
Then...A fashion show featuring the coveted Roxy x DVF swimsuits!
Models strutted down the runway, finally revealing
lust-worthy pieces that featured sophisticated prints of florals, vintage
patterns, and refined silhouettes – aesthetics that are signature Diane Von
Furstenberg.
Eto ang favorite ko, dapat ma-keri ko to! I love the tali-tali effect--so 50s beach chic!
Interesting prints: Camo True Black!
Deviating away from the traditional take on surf style
fashion, the collection features fun hints of nostalgia reminiscent of groovy
retro patterns, made tasteful and sophisticated with elegant cuts. A
one-time-only collection, the line also includes boardshorts, and rashguards! I can't wait to see these--parang ang sarap mag surf this summer no?!
Infer, I have to thank my love for MK Olsen for knowing THE DVF. The designer was featured in one of the Olsen's coffee table book, and I learned about DVF's wrap dresses and delight for all things classy (in short, madam mode! Haha). Furstenberg professes her love for the beach culture, and
expressed her excitement about working with Roxy, saying, “we wanted to empower
women to go for it and ride the wave!” The result? A collection that celebrates
the fun, fearless, and definitive beauty of femininity – no less than all the
characteristics which make for an ideal Roxy and DVF woman.
The bloggers during the event:
With Roxy's Chinky, and my girls Pax and Sarah:

Ending this post with post-event "parang asa bahay lang" pictures with Pax and Sarah! ;p
Feeling slumber party! ;p
