If you're following me on Twitter, you might have encountered my tweets na dream ko talaga magka hotel, kahit yung small lang mala Hotel Celeste or The Boutique ng Tagaytay. I love the luxury life a hotel can bring even to middle class families---book ka lang ng kahit overnight, da life na, na for me everyone deserves naman kahit once in a while. :)
I love the bird's eye view of a beautiful hotel lobby:
Went to Marriott Hotel Manila yesterday with PR Aisa (Pax and Paul) for the Bloggers Night:
Hala na may peculiar child papalapit! ;P Lol:
We tried the different drinks while waiting for program to start. Sorry di ko na take note lahat, pero the third is the parang lasang milk tea na they named Chocolate Avocado drink. Masarap and super bagay with spicy foods, na popu ang Asian cuisines:
Ms. Vannah, PR for Marriott, welcomed the group:
Kaguley ang mga bloggers sa pag pic! Woah! Hehe!
Learned that Marriott Manila brings home four of the Asia’s most famous cuisines: from Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and Vietnam! Month-long pala tong celebration of Oriental flavors in Marriott Cafe! So sa mga tamad (or tipid) muna sa byahe, food trip nalang tayo sa Marriott Cafe in their Flavors of Asia!
At akma din sa tema ng foods, Marriott Manila boasts of their chefs: Renaissance Kuala Lumpur’s Ruhizad Muri, JW Marriott Jakarta’s Dadang Wahyudi, Renaissance Riverside Saigon Phan Tien Hoa, and JW Marriott Bangkok Thanatorn Krobsuay. With culinary career track that is dynamically diverse, expect only authentic and a palate tickling adventure anyone could get! Bongga!
Our four chefs will also conduct a special cooking class for only P1, 500 net inclusive of a hearty lunch: July 9, Thai; July 16, Malaysian, July 23 Vietnamese; and July 30, Indonesian. So sa ating mga budding chefs, gow join! :)
Then we had a kaguley Memory Game na lumabas lang ang pagkacompetitive ng fashion bloggers, hahaha kahiya! ;P
Halos pakamatay para manalo, hahaha! Pero FUN! We won a bottle of wine, na we handed to our groupmates nalang matapos ang photo op, hehe:
Then the group went down to enjoy the dinner buffet. Kami na ang nagpakagutom before this event, hehehe:
I love the ambiance of the venue, ang spacious niya, and may nagdidivide na ganitong rainbow lighted cylinders sa food area and sa dining area. Lovet for my room (hehehe)
After maitag-base na ang aming seats...
....we ran around the buffet area na parang mga bata! Ang hirap saan unang uumpisahan!!! ;P
The meat eaters club area:
Land of the Free: Thailand! Thai food definitely deserves all the hype for its four fundamental tastes that we Filipinos love: sweet, sour, salty, and bitter.
Chef Thanatorn Krobsuay makes the selections worth discovering: deep fried sea bass with chili sauce, sautéed squid with pineapple and cucumber, beef balls cooked with typical Malay sauce, and braised beef spiced with turmeric and coconut.
Love that Asian foods mean maraming sauce...and SABAW! Soup weather pa naman lately! :)
Maki and Tamago...My weakness <3
Malaysia, Truly Asia (hehe): More than its legendary nasi lemak, chef Ruhizad Muri gives foodies a taste of Malaysia’s noteworthy nyonya cuisine. This section invites everyone as well to get creative with blue crab, shrimps, dilis fish, beef tenderloin, chicken, clams, barbeque chicken, steamed fish, assorted vegetables peppered with Malaysian spices.
Si Pax na talaga ang nakakausap ng mga Asian people, hindi nila naiintidihan English ko haha! :D
Eat Pray Love: Indonesia! Popular for their satay which shows Asians’ love affair for grilled meats, chef Dadang Wahyudi makes skewers tastier and more appetizing with these selections: chicken, shrimps, calamari, beef, goat, pork and fish in assorted marinations! Another must-try is the bebek betutu klung klung, an all-spiced up Balinese dish enhanced by a host of pungent roots, herbs, and seasoning.
The heat is on in Saigon! A native of Ho Chi Minh, chef Phan Thien Hoa presents well-rounded Vietnamese dishes notable for its minimal use of oil, bountiful use of herbs and vegetables--in short, hello healthiest foods in the world! Vietnamese cuisine features a delicious play on broth, rice noodles, meat, herbs and spices, and Vietnamese spring rolls!
And ovkors di papahuli: It's more fun in the Philippines' long coast line! Anjan ang fresh tiger prawns, steamed lobster on ice, marinated marina clam and curacha crab!
Plato ni Pax, hehehe:
There's always always room for dessert(s):
Home-made gelato: (I love the Hazelnut Nutella!)
Fondue! :)
Crazy Tablemates: Cariza Chua, Aisa Ipac, Me!, Paul Chuapoco, Hannah Villasis, and Angela Nepomuceno
