The city's hullabaloo can be one cool daily riot party, but there are times I am thankful I live in Sweet Home Alabang (feeling Alabama, haha) so I can have some quiet, chill time whenever I go home. I think that's the whole point of some people checking in hotels for no occasion, time to unwind and relax in the comforts of a home--only grander.
Gaano kakilig ako when I got in our Junior Suite in Acacia Hotel Alabang and saw this welcome sign:
Felt at home right away! What's in the note:
A few minutes later, this awesome platter arrived (natouch ako, hehe)
I stayed in the Acacia Hotel from March 28-29 with one of my BFFs, with no exact itinerary whatsoever. The only definite thing in our plan was to hangout (In short, tumambay). To enjoy the luxurious kindof new 5-star hotel in the south (soft opening was October 10, 2011), and of course take loads of pictures to share!
This is me trying hard to smile with my metal mouth, haha:
My friend (who is also named Ana) reviewing the Acacia Hotel amenities by the cool mini-sala. This place is an eye candy, with the modern neautral prints for the carpet and seats!
A different and beautiful night-time view
What you'll see when you peek outside the windows:
What's in the list:
Since Acacia Hotel is just partially operating, they partnered first with a nearby Gold's Gym for the exercise addicts while their own gym is still under construction. Same with their spa, which is still "coming soon", so in the mean time they have a 24-hour in-room massage services. I wonder if they can have a spa menu ready (with rates) also by the bedside, that would be much appreciated! :)
Ana, still inspecting the place! Haha!
Very handy: an IDD phone (with bathroom extension), important numbers, notepad and pen, and of course, ang favorite ko pag nasa hotels...
...In-Room Dining Menu! :D
Didn't get to try ordering for midnight snacks though, it's so hard when you have eating-limits talaga (braces) and you're surrounded with good food!
Why Ana can stay in this hotel room forever: Flat Screen Cable TV! :)
Though I have to snatch the remote from her nung Coco Martin na (lol)
Why I can stay in this hotel room forever: WiFi! :)
We played Draw Something for hours, in and out of the hotel room, haha!
Why WE BOTH can stay in this hotel room forever: Really cozy soft beds!
Ana took a photo of the pillow's tag for reference, haha!
We have a dresser by the far end of our room (I occupied this corner with my things, haha)
The first thing I looked for when we entered the room:
...The ref and the mini bar with complimentary coffee and mineral water! :) Haha! They just had tea though, but Twinings naman! :)
These can be found in the separate living room area, near the restroom
With very convenient big cabinet, shoe area, full length mirror and sockets:
Available glossy magazines like Southern Living and Travel Life, perfect for tourist guests!
Inside the cabinet are: a flashlight that automatically lights up when removed from it's deck, and a plancha (and ironing board) with automatic water spray thing!
Never forget your vault's code again: Swipe your credit card to open and close this electronic safety deposit box!
Inside the huge and neat deluxe CR: Double mirrors and automatic hairdryer
Complete vanity kit for the pack-light travelers (Yehey Colgate ang toothpaste, and not the usual di bumubula hotel toothpaste! :))
A big shower area na hindi mabubunggo ang siko pag nag shashampoo (haha)
And a separate bathtub with handheld shower head:
Single rectangular standard bowl sink.
I have no preference with showers, though they have this really nice rain shower with hot-cold options:
There are available Pure Herbs body wash, conditioner, and shampoo, plus soap:
The convenience of a de-swipe hotel room key! (hindi kelangan balibaliktarin dahil hindi nagwowork, haha)
They also have great service, everyone in Acacia Hotel are so accommodating and helpful!
A note when we went out for dinner; we had our electronic "do not disturb sign" on hehe:
