Last Monday was one of the most significant days of my 2011. Medyo nakakareflect-mode lang. I really believe na my high school self was when I was at my best: art club president, part of the honors class, tapos every Saturday I always go to Pandacan for the St. Scho outreach thing where we teach kids... And now na I'm older napansin ko nababawasan na ang artsy side ko, hindi na ako masyado exposed sa intellectually stimulating activities (ano daw? hahaha), and...AND ang pinaka masaklap sa lahat, nagkulang na ako sa outreach side. I look up to that Anagon na 4th year high school na walang kapaguran. Kurachang kuracha! Seriously, I wish to bring her back.
So back to last Monday, Pax texted me the day before if game ako to go sa Virlanie in Makati. Unang reaction ko was pagod ako at gusto ko mag rest nalang, but that remaining high school self in me thought so otherwise: Yes pagod ka nga! Mas lalong magandang lumabas ka tomorrow and join the outreach activity dahil SACRIFICE (and not even the money) makes the helping more worth it.
The toddlers entering Virlanie in Sunrise St.! :) Thank you to those who helped me in Twitter get there via commute! Special mention kay Bodz and Ange!
We were asked to hold the kids, because they deserve to feel loved:
Pax and her baby Jessica:
I got two kids for the day, one of them is Sarah the makulit kid (tignan naman ang upside down name tag! :D Hihihi)
And my other anak is Kyla, my Cabbage Patch Kid! Ang cute ang hilig kumain halata sa lips niya sa pic nato hehehe:
Opening remarks and prayer for the volunteers:
We sang:
Hang out and play (they love to make bubbles!)
And syempre... Kainan! Ang adorable ni Wawot, the girl in white and blue dress! Love her smile <3
Pax loves babies! :) Feeding the cutiepie Jessica:
Sucha pretty angel!
Kahinaan ko talaga ang baby hands...and feet! Cute! :D
Meanwhile, my anak Sarah eats on her own na! Benta asa likod na ang name tag, hahaha!
...BULAGA! Hahaha!
Pasubo din daw! :) <3 *heart melts*
After 2 1/2 servings of lugaw for each of my kids (bundat mode na sila graaabe hahaha), on to the gift-giving part!
Wawot sang LOBO, ang anthem ng Virlanie kids! :D
Ako ay may lobo...Lumipad sa langit...
While waiting for my anaks' names to be called, can you spot my Cabbage Patch Kid Kyla? :)
CUTE!
Happy kids and their toys and treats! :)
They also gave Bibles to the Virlanie ates:
Tiring and fun afternoon! :) I wish I can do this weekly na ulit. I've learned before from my friend Geo that outreach doesn't really mean a one way street na you helping out those who are in need. Actually, mas ikaw pa ang natutulungan nila after. The good vibes and good feeling after reaching out is immeasurable and unexplainable. Thank You Lord for giving me this opportunity and this happiness. Thank you Pax for inviting me! Love is everywhere! Let's spread this kind of pure love to everyone. :)
Dinner in Greenbelt with Pax right after:
Happy (dugyot) kids :)
Don't have a decent outfit picture dahil dungis mode talaga hahaha! They asked us to wear white, and parehas pa kami ni Pax nag polo! I did this DIY thing:
..Studded Collar!
Also wore my new tangerine flats from Ferretti! Comfy!
I honestly miss my kids already! :) Kami lang nakapag photobooth dahil padilim na non, and tinest shot lang sa amin ng taga picture if ok yung quality. :)
Carrying baby Kyla, and then dumating si Sarah gusto din sumama!
Ate: Bat parehas sila naka nganga?
Hahaha! :) Love them, narealize ko hirap ako tumanggi sa bata!
We will go back soon! Hope more people can join us. :)
PS: On another note...

Awww grabe I admire what you and Pax did! I wanna join in your next outreach ganaps, Ana. Namiss ko ang mga ganyan during high school days. I feel like hindi ko deserve ang mga blessings kung wala akong gagawin to help others. Good for you, friendship! Proud here!
