Excess Baggage

In last Sunday's Feast...

A skit on not fitting a small door.

Bro Arun Gogna's talk
He said "Anything you are not born with, you can live without"

I like this line. That if we can live through a phase in our life without this thing, person, or position, then we can definitely live a happy life again when it/they're gone. The hate, the negativity, the "BV" are our Excess Fats that give us a hard time in entering the small door. But as Luke 13:24 said: "Make every effort to enter through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to."

Regarding excess baggage, I remembered a How I Met Your Mother line from the great Ted Mosby (hehe): You see, everyone's got some baggage. It's part of life. But like anything else, it gets easier when someone gives you a hand with it. Everyone's having a hard time in life, coz everyone has their own baggage. I hope I will always remember this: to take it easy on others, to always be well-mannered, because everyone goes through their own personal concerns.

More from my notes last Sunday:

Law of Attention - What dwells in your mind becomes increasingly prominent in your life. Whatever you stop thinking will die.
Law of Exchange - Your mind can only focus on 1 thing
Law of Reversibility - Emotions are important, but you need not follow them all the time.

I like these "laws" since I re-learned that happiness is a choice. I just have to focus on one thing, or stop focusing on that thought which just gives me bad vibes. No matter how cliche this line is, I still keep forgetting about it. Also, my admission on not being fit for a stylist job in my past blog entry was actually triggered on the statement that we can focus on one thing. Right now, I have to admit I am all over! =P I hope to bring back my focus on Anagon Collection, but I sure am enjoying my blogging these days! :)

Anyway, again, a shameless plug! Do check out the very first blog feature of The Fashionista Commuter. Hehe. :)

Also, get your copy of the new Bo Sanchez book: My Maid Invests in the Stock Market. It's like a 101 or "for dummies" guide in investing...meaning, no alienetic vocabs used! ;)

The Feast is organized by the Light of Jesus group by Bo Sanchez. Here are the different Feasts! :

May everyone be blessed! :)
